How To Enroll for Volunteer Service
After you have decided which programs are of interest to you, click on Request Info. Fill out the form as completely as possible. You can indicate your preference for more than one country, and up to three types of volunteer service.
This form goes to the Volunteers for International Partnership Director in the country where you live, or to the International Office if there is no VIP office for your country. You can also print the form out and mail or fax it to the appropriate VIP office. For addresses, click on Contact Us.
The VIP Director in your home country will contact you and provide application materials. Applications are accepted all year round. You should apply at least 3 months before you expect to start.
In addition to the application form, you will need to provide references and medical information. Certain placements may also require proof of professional certification and/or a background record check. If your program includes a homestay, you will be asked for a "Dear Family" letter and photographs.
