EIL-Turkey is the Turkish National Office of the worldwide organization founded in the USA in 1932 as The Experiment in International Living. It is the oldest educational exchange organization in the world involving almost 30,000 people each year on a variety of educational and cultural travel programs. It is a not for profit, non religious and non political association.

The Office

EIL has Consultative Status at The Council of Europe and The United Nations Economic and Social Council and was designated a "Peace Messenger Organization" by The United Nations in 1989.

EIL-Turkey was founded in 1959 with its main office in Istanbul. It has a wide network of local representatives and contact offices all around the country which cooperate in promoting outbound programs and organizing community service programs.
