non-sectarian, non-political organization founded in 1977 to provide
intercultural learning programs for Ecuadorians and people from other
countries. It is governed by a General Assembly that meets annually
and presided over by an Executive Board. It is a member of the International
Federation of National Representations of the Experiment in International
Living (Federation EIL) and as such is a partner within a network of
24 autonomous Experiment Representations around the world. In Ecuador
it is a member of the Ecuadorian-North American Chamber of Commerce
as a non-profit institution.
EIL Ecuador provides cultural exchange and language programs for hundreds
of Ecuadorians and international participants each year. Our personnel
includes 16 permanent staff members, language teachers and individuals
contracted to provide special services.
